What does the Curaçao licence mean today?

Since 24 December 2024, when the island’s new gaming ordinance (Landsverordening op de kansspelen, or LOK) came into force, operators like Gareton hold their own licence from the Curaçao Gaming Authority instead of a sub-licence under a private master holder. For players that means a public licence number, printed in BitStarz’s footer and in section 1.2 of its terms, and a regulator with power to sanction. It does not mean the authority will take up your individual case; for that, the CGA sends players to the dispute bodies it has certified.

The 5 BTC welcome package, honestly priced

New players can receive up to 5 BTC (shown as a local-currency amount to some visitors) plus 180 free spins over the first four deposits. The operator states the first step as a 100% match up to 1 BTC; the later steps are not spelled out on the pages we could read, so we do not list them. Bonus terms 3.4 set 40x the bonus amount for every bonus, including free-spin winnings, and 3.7 gives each welcome bonus seven days.

A worked example in bitcoin: deposit 0.004 BTC and receive 0.004 BTC of bonus. At 40x the bonus, the target is 0.16 BTC of bets inside seven days. BitStarz lists twelve cryptocurrencies, and Bitcoin can also be sent over the Lightning Network. Fiat accounts run in euros, US, Canadian, Australian and New Zealand dollars, yen and Norwegian krone. Two rules protect you only if you know them. Deposits below a coin’s minimum cannot be credited or returned (8.6.8). How quickly does BitStarz pay?

Section 8.7.1 commits BitStarz to attempting every payout inside sixty minutes, and 8.7.8 even cites an average of ten minutes. BitStarz’s terms are long but specific. Accounts with a balance that are not logged into for six months can be charged an administrative fee of at least 5 EUR a month.
