What each record tells you

Editorial score
A weighted mark out of 5 from five criteria: licence 30%, bonus fairness 20%, banking 20%, terms 15%, product 15%. Full method.
Licence
The regulator and company we matched on the register or seal page. A licence record is a minimum, not a guarantee of safety.
Status
Operating means the casino's site and terms were reachable on the check date. It is not an endorsement or a legal opinion.
Status checked
The date we last read the casino's terms, bonus rules and payments page. Offers can change after that date.
Not for
Examples from the casino's own restricted list. A country missing from it is not proof that play there is lawful.

The ledger: how the ten casinos compare

The table puts the numbers that decide most outcomes side by side: the regulator, the playthrough on the welcome offer, the bet limit while a bonus runs, how much you can withdraw, and a few of the countries each casino refuses. Bonus details are for the euro version of each offer; some casinos show a different offer in other currencies.

Casino Score Licence Playthrough Bet limit with bonus Withdrawal ceiling Who cannot join (examples)
Slot Owl 4.3 Estonia (EMTA) 25x deposit + bonus EUR 5 EUR 5,000/day, EUR 20,000/30 days US, Ghana, Pakistan; under-21s for casino
Slot Pony 4.3 Malta (MGA) 35x, then 30x EUR 5 EUR 5,000/day, EUR 20,000/30 days US, Israel, Panama

Goldroll 3.7 Anjouan 25x deposit + bonus EUR 5 EUR 5,000/day, EUR 20,000/30 days UK, US, Germany, Ontario
7Bit Casino 3.6 Tobique (Curaçao for Canada) 35x bonus EUR 1 EUR 10,000/7 days, EUR 40,000/month US, UK, Netherlands, Ontario
Stake 3.6 Curaçao (CGA) No welcome match Not applicable Not published US, UK, Ireland, Australia
Tenobet 3.1 Anjouan Set per offer, not in general terms Set per offer EUR 1,000/day, EUR 10,000/month US, UK, Sweden, Australia

Two patterns stand out. The EU-licensed casinos (Malta and Estonia) cluster at the top because licence carries 30% of the score. And the withdrawal ceilings are almost identical across five casinos built on the same platform, while Tenobet’s daily cap is a fifth of theirs. That single number is the main reason it sits last.

A closer look at the three joint leaders

Slot Owl (4.3). Run by Frenwall Limited under Estonian licences, it asks only 25x deposit plus bonus on each of four euro match stages worth up to EUR 1,500, the lowest multiplier in our reviews. A sportsbook shares the account. Against that, casino play is 21+ only, and the player terms allow a service fee of up to 10% of a transaction, so check the cashier before every withdrawal.

Slot Pony (4.3). Elmst Limited’s casino carries a Malta licence and names eCOGRA as its dispute service, the strongest recourse on our list. Its six-stage package mixes cash matches at 35x and 30x with wager-free spin stages, and its payout ceilings and EUR 20 minimum are clearly printed. It is casino-only and does not publish a game count outside the account.

Winsly (4.3). Frenwall’s flagship pays its whole welcome offer in spins that need no playthrough, up to 7,000 of them, plus 10% weekly cashback and a sportsbook. The catch is the deposit needed for the headline: EUR 8,000 for all 7,000 spins. Like Slot Owl it is 21+ for casino games and carries the same fee clause.

The three reach the same total from different directions, which is why we publish the rows and not just the number.

How do we score an online casino?

Each casino gets a mark out of 5 on five criteria, and each mark is multiplied by a fixed weight: licence and dispute route 30%, bonus fairness 20%, banking 20%, terms and account rules 15%, games, product and support 15%. The weighted sum, rounded to one decimal, is the score. Every review prints its score sheet with the evidence behind each mark.

The scales are written down in advance. A Malta licence scores 5.0, an Estonian one 4.5, Curaçao under the 2024 law 3.5, Anjouan and Tobique 3.0. A wager-free or 25x offer scores 4.5 for bonus fairness, 30-35x scores 4.0, 40x 3.5, 45-50x 3.0. Banking starts at 4.0, gains half a point when the casino commits in writing to paying out within a day or an hour, and loses points for a EUR 100 minimum, a daily cap of EUR 1,000 or less, or a clause allowing a percentage withdrawal fee. Full details, including a worked example, are on our rating method page.

Three things never enter the sum: how big the bonus headline looks, how polished the lobby is, and any commercial deal with us. A EUR 5,000 headline with unpublished playthrough scores lower than a EUR 300 package at 25x, because the second one can actually be cleared.

When a casino refuses to pay, the licence determines whether anyone outside the company can intervene. It is the first thing to check and the easiest to fake, because a regulator’s logo is just an image. The only reliable test is to find the casino’s company and domain on the regulator’s own register, or to open the seal link in the footer and see the regulator’s page confirm it.

Regulator How to check What a complaint can achieve Reviewed casinos
Malta Gaming Authority Search the company on the MGA register and check the domain list Licensees must name an independent dispute service; the regulator also takes reports Slot Pony, Taste Vegas, Quickz
Estonian Tax and Customs Board Find the company on the EMTA list of licensed operators Complaints to the board; the consumer disputes committee hears Estonian residents only Slot Owl, Winsly
Curaçao Gaming Authority Compare the footer number with cga.cw The CGA does not rule on individual cases; it refers players to certified dispute bodies BitStarz, Stake
Anjouan Use the seal link; a bare-domain search returns “invalid” Complaint through the seal, then an operator-paid dispute service Goldroll, Tenobet
Tobique Gaming Commission Use the seal link, which opens validate.thetgc.ca Through the casino’s named dispute body 7Bit Casino

One practical warning for October 2026: the Curaçao authority’s licensing portal went offline after unauthorised access it reported on 17 and 22 September, and it says licences already issued remain valid. A failed lookup during the outage is not evidence of a problem. Our licence-check guide walks through every register step by step.

Step two: price the bonus before you take it

A bonus has a cost, and the cost depends on the playthrough multiplier, what it multiplies and the games you play. The formula is simple: the bets you must place, multiplied by the house edge of the game, gives the average amount the casino keeps while you clear it. Whenever that figure exceeds the bonus, accepting the offer costs you money on average.

Here is the same EUR 70 first deposit at three of our casinos, assuming a slot that returns 96% (a 4% edge):

Casino and offer Bonus received Bets required Average cost of those bets Average result
Slot Owl, 100% at 25x deposit + bonus EUR 70 EUR 3,500 EUR 140 Minus EUR 70
Slot Pony, 100% at 35x deposit + bonus EUR 70 EUR 4,900 EUR 196 Minus EUR 126
Taste Vegas, 100% at 45x deposit + bonus EUR 70 EUR 6,300 EUR 252 Minus EUR 182

None of these is “free money”, but the gap between them is real: the same deposit costs more than twice as much to clear at 45x as at 25x. Wager-free spins work differently. Winsly’s first-deposit spins, two per euro, give a EUR 70 deposit 140 spins worth EUR 14 whose winnings are cash at once. That is why our method puts wager-free offers and 25x at the top of its bonus scale.

Three more rules turn a good bonus bad: a short deadline (48 hours at the Malta and Estonia casinos, seven days at BitStarz), a bet limit you exceed by accident, and game exclusions that make live tables count for nothing. Our bonus maths guide covers each one with examples.

Step three: read the withdrawal rules

Withdrawal terms decide whether a win is useful. Look for five things before you deposit: the smallest withdrawal, the daily, weekly and monthly ceilings, any fee clause, how many times a deposit must be played before it can leave, and when identity checks become compulsory.

  • Minimums: EUR 20 at most of our casinos; EUR 100 at Tenobet, which strands small balances.
  • Ceilings: EUR 5,000 a day and EUR 20,000 in 30 days on the shared Malta/Estonia/Anjouan platform; EUR 10,000 a week at 7Bit; EUR 1,000 a day at Tenobet; none published at Stake.
  • Fees: Slot Owl and Winsly allow a service fee of up to 10% of a transaction (minimum EUR 2); Goldroll’s terms warn of a possible percentage fee on withdrawals; BitStarz says it charges no withdrawal fee.
  • Deposit turnover: once at most casinos and at Stake; three times at 7Bit, or ten times on table and live games.
  • Identity checks: compulsory by EUR 2,000 in deposits at the Malta and Estonia casinos, on the first withdrawal at Tenobet, and at any time under Stake’s clause 4.8.

The fastest written payout target belongs to BitStarz, whose terms aim to pay within one hour. The Malta and Estonia casinos publish same-working-day processing for bank transfers. Our payment methods guide compares cards, bank transfers, e-wallets, vouchers and crypto method by method.

Step four: check who the terms exclude

Every casino publishes a list of countries it refuses, and several also exclude certain countries from bonuses only. These lists are long and change, so treat the examples on this page as a starting point and read the full list in each review.

Some patterns are useful. All ten casinos refuse the United States. Not one carries a British licence, which rules all of them out for UK residents whatever a given list says. In Australia the Interactive Gambling Act puts the offence on operators who offer online casino games there, and ACMA has been blocking offshore sites since 2019; we do not recommend any casino to readers there. Stake’s list also includes Ireland, most of the EU and Ontario. The Frenwall casinos, Slot Owl and Winsly, set the minimum age at 21 for casino games. And in Canada, Ontario runs its own regulated market, so Ontario residents should use operators registered there.

A country missing from a list does not make playing there lawful. When in doubt about your own country’s rules, settle that question first; and do not mask your location with a VPN: every casino we review treats that as a breach that can void winnings.

Which casino suits which player?

Scores compare casinos on the same yardstick, but players weigh things differently. These short profiles come straight from the reviews.

  • You want the strongest regulator: start with the Malta casinos. Slot Pony has the lowest playthrough of the three; Quickz adds a sportsbook; Taste Vegas has the biggest spin stages.
  • You want low or no playthrough: Slot Owl at 25x on every match, or Winsly with wager-free spins; check the fee clause first.
  • You pay with e-wallets or vouchers: Goldroll lists 16 methods, though wallet deposits earn no casino bonus.
  • You play with crypto: BitStarz for payout speed and coin choice, Stake for provably fair originals and VIP rewards, 7Bit Casino for the largest lobby.
  • You only play small amounts: Tenobet can work, but its caps make it a poor place to hold a large balance.
  • You mostly play live tables: read our live casino guide first; dealer games add little or nothing to a bonus meter at most of these sites.

Three budgets, three sensible choices

Scores are averages; your own budget changes which casino makes sense. Here are three worked cases using the terms in our reviews.

A EUR 40 a month player who mostly plays slots. Large match bonuses are a poor fit, because a EUR 40 deposit matched at 40x needs EUR 3,200 of bets inside 48 hours. Wager-free spins suit this budget better: at Winsly a EUR 40 first deposit brings 80 spins whose winnings are cash at once, and at Taste Vegas a EUR 40 second deposit brings 80 spins on Big Bass Splash with the same no-playthrough rule. Either way, set the monthly deposit limit to EUR 40 on day one.

A EUR 250 a month player who wants a regulator behind the account. The Malta casinos are the natural starting point. Taking Slot Pony’s first match on a EUR 250 deposit means EUR 17,500 in bets at 35x within two days, which few players at this budget will reach, so many will skip the first match, take the spin stages and rely on the weekly cashback. Withdrawal ceilings of EUR 5,000 a day are not a constraint here.

A crypto player who moves larger sums. Withdrawal caps and payout targets matter most. BitStarz’s written one-hour target and per-coin limits suit this player; Stake suits someone who prefers low-edge originals and accepts that no payout time is published; Tenobet’s EUR 1,000 daily cap makes it a poor home for a large balance. Whatever the casino, keep winnings in your own wallet rather than in the casino account.

Why we never rank by bonus size

Many casino lists put the biggest headline first. We do not, because the headline is the least informative number on the offer. Tenobet’s slots package reaches EUR 5,000, while Goldroll’s tops out at EUR 300 plus spins; yet Goldroll prints its 25x playthrough and Tenobet’s general terms print none, so only one of them can be priced before you accept. A large headline also tends to come with a high multiplier, a short deadline or a low conversion cap, each of which lowers what the bonus is worth. Ranking by a published method that prices those conditions is less exciting, but it tells you something true.

Keeping your account safe

Most account problems we read about start outside the casino. A few habits prevent them.

  • Reach the casino by typing its address or using a bookmark; several brands, Tenobet among them, have lookalike or mirror domains.
  • Use a unique password and switch on two-step login where the casino offers it.
  • Deposit only with a card, bank account or wallet in your own name; every casino we review can void winnings paid in from someone else’s method.
  • Upload identity documents early, so a first withdrawal is not held while they are checked.
  • Be wary of messages asking you to pay a “release fee” for a withdrawal; no licensed casino we review charges one in its terms.
  • Keep a dated screenshot of the terms and the bonus you accepted; they can change after you sign up.

Questions to settle before your first deposit

A few minutes with the cashier and the live chat answers most of what the terms leave open. Ask which withdrawal methods exist in your country and whether any fee applies to them; whether the welcome offer you see is the version for your country; when identity documents will be required; and how long the casino’s last few payouts took for your method. Write the answers down. If support cannot give clear replies, take that as useful information and keep your first deposit small until one withdrawal has gone through.

Red flags we look for in every review

Some warning signs show up in the terms long before a complaint does. When we find one, it lowers a score or keeps a casino off the list altogether.

  • No licence stated, or a licence that cannot be matched to the domain you are on.
  • Mirror domains that are not on the regulator’s register; Tenobet’s numbered mirrors are an example we flag in its review.
  • Bonus terms that are referenced but not printed, so you cannot see the multiplier before you accept.
  • Withdrawal caps so low that a modest win takes months to collect.
  • Clauses that let the casino confiscate winnings for vague “irregular play” without a dispute route.
  • Different operators behind one domain depending on where you connect from, without saying which applies to you.
  • A regulator ban in a market the casino kept serving, such as Sweden’s 9 July 2026 ban on Tenobet’s operator, Softon Ltd.

How we check a casino, step by step

One fixed routine sits behind all ten reviews, so you can judge how much weight each one deserves.

  1. We load the casino’s terms and conditions, bonus terms and payments page from a country the casino serves, and note the date and the country used. Where an offer or operator differs by country, as at 7Bit and Slot Owl, we say which version we read.
  2. We match the operator named in the terms with the regulator’s record: the register entry for Malta and Estonia, the seal page for Anjouan and Tobique, and the licence number for Curaçao.
  3. We read the restricted-country list and any bonus-only exclusions, and record the age limit.
  4. We work through the welcome offer with our own numbers, including the playthrough base, deadline, bet limit and conversion cap.
  5. We list the withdrawal minimum, ceilings, fees, deposit-turnover rule and identity-check triggers from the terms.
  6. We note games, studios and support only as far as the casino publishes them; lobbies behind a login are described as such.
  7. We score each criterion on the written scale, total it, and publish the score sheet with the evidence.
  8. The page is checked against primary sources before it goes live, and rechecked at least every quarter.

Two limits apply throughout. We do not deposit or withdraw money to time payouts, and we do not rate casinos we have not read in full.

Payout speed, as each casino states it

Because we do not time withdrawals ourselves, the table shows what each casino commits to in writing. Treat these as targets, not guarantees: identity checks, weekends and your own bank all add time.

Casino Stated processing time Fastest route named
BitStarz Aims to pay within one hour (terms 8.7.1) Crypto
Slot Pony, Taste Vegas Up to 72 hours; instant bank usually within one working day Instant bank transfer, selected regions
Quickz Up to 72 hours; most instant-banking payouts arrive “instantly” Instant Banking
Slot Owl, Winsly Up to 72 hours plus up to 3 days for bank and card Bank transfer, handled the same working day
Goldroll Within 72 hours; bank transfer handled the same working day Bank transfer or e-wallet
Tenobet Usually within 3 banking days Not stated
7Bit Casino, Stake No processing time published Not stated

Live dealers, sport and other products

Five of the ten casinos add a sportsbook to the same account: Quickz, Slot Owl, Winsly, Stake and Tenobet. That is convenient, but sports and casino bonuses run on separate rules, so read each set before you claim. Live dealer tables are offered across the list, mostly from major live studios, and they are where bonus rules bite hardest: the Malta and Estonia casinos exclude live games from playthrough entirely, and BitStarz counts them at about 5%. If live blackjack, roulette or baccarat is your main game, it is usually better to play with cash and skip the welcome match. Stake and BitStarz also run in-house “originals” such as dice and crash games; Stake’s carry published edges and provably fair checks.

Crypto, cards or bank: what changes for you

Four of our casinos take cryptocurrency: BitStarz, Stake, 7Bit Casino and Tenobet. Crypto deposits arrive quickly and often cost the casino nothing, but you pay the network fee, a coin sent on the wrong network can be lost, and a balance held in bitcoin moves with the market. BitStarz, for example, recovers coins sent on the wrong network only above $5,000 and for a 0.1 BTC charge. Card and bank payments are slower but simpler to dispute, and instant bank transfers are the fastest fiat route at the Malta and Estonia casinos. Our crypto casinos page explains networks, fees and wallet safety in detail.

What “new” means for a casino

Several of the casinos here are young brands on established platforms. Quickz’s Malta licence was issued in January 2026, Taste Vegas’s in July 2025 and Slot Pony’s in December 2024. A new brand is not automatically risky, but it has no complaint history to judge it by, so the licence and the terms matter even more. Our new casinos page explains how we date a launch and what to check before depositing at a recent brand.

Brand age and platform age are different things. Quickz, Taste Vegas and Slot Pony are recent names, but they run on a platform shared with older sister casinos, with the same cashier, limits and complaint process. That shared base is why their terms read almost identically and why their withdrawal ceilings match. When you judge a new casino, look past the logo to the company on the licence and the other brands it runs: their history is the closest thing to a track record a new name can have.

The reverse also holds. An old brand name is no guarantee either, because casino brands are bought, sold and moved between licences. A name you remember from years ago may now belong to a different company with different terms, which is one more reason we date every check and name the current operator in every review, rather than trusting a familiar logo or an old memory of how a site once treated its players.

A short glossary of the terms in our reviews

  • Playthrough (wagering): the multiple of the bonus (or of bonus and deposit together) you have to stake before the money is yours to cash out.
  • Deposit turnover: a separate rule that your own deposit must be bet a set number of times (usually once) before withdrawal, bonus or not.
  • Conversion cap: a ceiling on what bonus play can ever become in cash, commonly five times the bonus.
  • Bet limit: the biggest stake per spin or hand you may place during bonus play; one bet above it can cost you the winnings.
  • House edge and RTP: the share of stakes a game keeps on average, and its mirror image, the share it returns (a 96% RTP is a 4% edge).
  • KYC: “know your customer” identity checks: ID, proof of address and sometimes source of funds.
  • ADR: short for alternative dispute resolution; an outside service that looks at a complaint once the casino’s own process has failed.
  • Seal link: the regulator badge in a casino footer that should open the regulator’s own validation page.
  • Mirror domain: an alternative web address for the same casino, often not listed on the licence.
  • Provably fair: a seed-and-hash system that lets you recompute a game round’s result after the fact.

What changed since this site’s early reviews

The online casino market of 2010 looked very different. Most international casinos then ran under Curaçao master licences held by a handful of private companies, and players had almost no route to a regulator. Since then, the Malta Gaming Authority stopped ruling on individual player disputes in April 2019 and relies on independent dispute services instead; Australia’s regulator began blocking offshore gambling sites in November 2019 and had blocked 1,822 by September 2026; and Curaçao replaced its master licences with direct licensing by the Curaçao Gaming Authority from 24 December 2024. Crypto cashiers, rare in 2010, are now standard at many offshore brands. The casinos in our list reflect that newer landscape, and so does our method: it rewards regulators that give players somewhere to turn.

Where to complain when something goes wrong

Start with the casino and ask for your complaint to be logged; keep screenshots, chat transcripts and transaction IDs from the first day. If that fails, the next step depends on the licence: an independent dispute service named in the terms (eCOGRA at the three Malta casinos), the Estonian board for Slot Owl and Winsly, a dispute body certified by the Curaçao authority for BitStarz and Stake, or the Anjouan seal process for Goldroll and Tenobet. A chargeback through your card issuer is a last resort for card deposits. Our complaint routes page has the details and a template letter.

Twenty years of casino names: what happened to the old ones

This domain has carried casino content since 2010. Most of the brands it covered in its first decade, such as 21Nova, Rushmore Casino, Online Vegas Casino and the casinos built on CryptoLogic software, have since closed or been absorbed by other groups, and some poker brands it wrote about, like Full Tilt Poker, no longer exist. Rather than leave stale reviews pretending to be current, we moved their history to a closed casinos register that gives each brand’s fate and the source for it; the old addresses forward there. The current list of reviews lives in our A-Z review hub.

How the games themselves work

Every casino game has a built-in edge, and knowing it matters more than any bonus. Single-zero roulette keeps about 2.7% of stakes on average, a banker bet in baccarat about 1.06%, while many slots return between 94% and 97%, which means an edge of 3% to 6%. Stake’s Dice publishes a 1% edge. Betting systems such as doubling after a loss do not change these numbers; they only change how quickly a session ends. Our casino games guide lists the edge game by game, with sources.

Keeping control of your play

Online casinos are built to keep a share of every stake, so treat play as paid entertainment. Decide your monthly budget before you deposit, set a deposit limit in the account on the first day, and use the time-out or self-exclusion tools if play stops being fun. Every casino here offers them, but self-exclusion at one site does not close your accounts elsewhere. Gamblers Anonymous meetings and the online chat at Gambling Therapy cost nothing, and blocking software and bank gambling blocks are covered on our responsible gambling page.

Questions readers send us about online casino reviews

Which online casino has the highest score on this site?

Three casinos tie at 4.3 out of 5 in October 2026: Slot Owl, Slot Pony and Winsly. The Malta licence carries Slot Pony; the Estonian pair gain on bonus terms and product range but lose half a banking point to a fee clause.

Are these casinos available in the United States, the UK or Australia?

No. All ten refuse the United States, none holds a UK licence, and we do not recommend any casino to Australian readers, where offering online casino games is an offence for the operator.

How are the scores calculated?

Five criteria, each marked out of 5 and weighted: licence 30%, bonus fairness 20%, banking 20%, terms 15%, games and support 15%. The weighted sum is rounded to one decimal, and every review shows the working.

Do casinos pay for a higher position?

No. Some links earn us a commission, but positions follow the score, and the score follows the published method. A casino cannot buy a review, a better mark or the removal of a criticism.

Is a Curaçao licence safe?

It is a real licence with a public number, issued since December 2024 under Curaçao’s new gaming law, but the regulator does not rule on individual complaints. Disputes go to a dispute body it has certified, which gives less protection than Malta’s system.

What is the safest way to take a casino bonus?

Work out its cost first: bets required times the game’s house edge. Prefer 25x or wager-free offers, keep deposits modest so the playthrough fits the deadline, stay under the bet limit and avoid excluded games.

Why did old reviews on this site disappear?

Most brands from the 2010-2020 reviews have shut down or been sold, so keeping those pages would mislead readers. Their fate, with a source per brand, now sits on the closed casinos register.

How often are the reviews updated?

Each listed casino is checked again every three months or sooner after a reader tip. If a limit, bonus rule or licence moves, the score, the list card and the review are corrected in one go.
