Closed casinos register Brands this site reviewed between 2010 and 2020 that have since closed or changed hands, with sources. We review ten online casinos in depth, all checked in October 2026 against their own terms, payment pages and licence records. Each review opens with who cannot sign up, names the company and regulator behind the site, and scores it on five weighted criteria from our published rating method. Readers in America, Britain and Australia should look away: these casinos are not for them.
The table lists every review alphabetically, not by commercial value. The score is the weighted result of licence, bonus fairness, banking, terms and product, each rated from 0 to 5. “Barred” names only a few of the countries each casino refuses; the full list sits in the review and in the casino’s own terms.
| Casino | Score | Licence | Operator | Barred (examples) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 7Bit Casino | 3.6 | Tobique 0000091 (Curaçao for Canada) | Saphirix Solutions SRL | US, UK, Netherlands, Ontario |
| BitStarz | 3.9 | Curaçao OGL/2024/165/0185 | Gareton B.V. | US, UK, France, Spain |

| Slot Owl | 4.3 | Estonia HKT000082/83 | Frenwall Limited | US, Ghana, Pakistan |

| Stake | 3.6 | Curaçao OGL/2024/1451/0918 | Medium Rare N.V. | US, UK, Ireland, Australia |
| Taste Vegas | 4.0 | Malta MGA/B2C/1072/2024 | Elvel Limited | US, Israel, Pakistan |
| Tenobet | 3.1 | Anjouan ALSI-202409012-FI1 | Softon Ltd | US, UK, Sweden, Australia |
| Winsly | 4.3 | Estonia HKT000082/83 | Frenwall Limited | US, Iran, Myanmar |
Three casinos share a top score of 4.3, for different reasons. Slot Pony gets there through its Malta licence; Slot Owl and Winsly through low or zero playthrough and a sportsbook, despite a fee clause in their terms. At the other end, Tenobet’s 3.1 reflects tight withdrawal caps and bonus terms that are not printed in its general terms.
Every review follows the same order so you can compare them: eligibility first, then the operator and the licence with a step to verify it, then the score sheet, then the welcome offer worked through with real numbers, banking limits, the terms that can void winnings, games and support, the complaint route for that licence, and a verdict. We read the casino’s own pages, usually through a connection from a country the casino serves, and record where an offer differs by country.
What we do not do matters as much. We do not make test deposits, so we never claim a withdrawal took a certain time; payout speeds come from the casino’s published targets. We do not invent ratings for casinos we have not reviewed. And we do not raise a score because a casino pays us: the method page shows exactly how every number is reached.
The licence decides how much protection you have when something goes wrong, which is why it carries 30% of every score. Our reviews cover five licensing systems, and each one checks differently.
| Licence | Casinos we review | Where to check | Who handles a dispute |
|---|---|---|---|
| Malta Gaming Authority | Slot Pony, Taste Vegas, Quickz | MGA licensee register | The casino first, then its named dispute service (eCOGRA for all three) |
| Estonian Tax and Customs Board | Slot Owl, Winsly | EMTA operator list | The casino first, then a complaint to the board |
| Curaçao Gaming Authority | BitStarz, Stake (and 7Bit for Canada) | cga.cw | The casino first, then a dispute body certified by the CGA |
| Anjouan | Goldroll, Tenobet | The seal link in the casino footer | Through the seal, with operator-paid dispute resolution |
| Tobique Gaming Commission | 7Bit Casino (most visitors) | The seal link, which opens validate.thetgc.ca | The casino first, then its named dispute body |
A licence on the register is a minimum, not a guarantee. Our licence-check guide walks through each register, and the complaints guide explains what each route can and cannot do for you.
A single score cannot say which casino suits you, so here are the trade-offs our reviews found, grouped by what readers usually care about.
Every review carries the same five-row table. Take Goldroll as an example: licence 3.0 (Anjouan), bonus 4.5 (25x playthrough), banking 4.0 (same-day bank processing, minus half a point for a percentage withdrawal-fee clause), terms 3.5 and product 4.0. Multiply each by its weight (30%, 20%, 20%, 15%, 15%) and the sum is 3.725, shown as 3.7. The “Why” column beside each number names the clause or page that produced it, so you can disagree with a weighting and still check the facts.
That transparency is the point. Two casinos with the same headline score can be very different: Slot Pony and Winsly both score 4.3, but one earns it through a Malta licence with a cash-match bonus and the other through wager-free spins and a sportsbook under an Estonian licence. Read the rows that matter to you, not just the total. A player who only ever deposits by bank transfer and never takes a bonus, for example, can mostly ignore the bonus row and look hard at banking and terms; a player who wants an EU regulator above all should start with the licence row and read the others afterwards.
We remove a casino, or never add it, when any of these happens:
Removal is recorded on the closed casinos page when a brand closes, so readers following an old link find out what happened instead of a dead page.
Restricted-country lists are long and change without notice, so the table shows only a few examples per casino. Two points are easy to miss. First, some casinos bar a country outright while others accept players there but exclude them from bonuses; Slot Pony, Taste Vegas and Quickz, for instance, accept Finnish players but give them no welcome offer. Second, a country missing from a casino’s list does not make playing there lawful: the casino may simply not have listed it. Check your own country’s rules and the casino’s full terms, which every review links. If you travel, remember that most terms apply to where you are physically located when you play, not only where you live, so an account opened at home may be blocked or breached abroad.
Scores compare casinos on terms and structure. They cannot tell you whether gambling online is lawful where you live, whether a casino will treat your particular case fairly, or whether a game will pay out. A high score is not a recommendation to deposit. Check your country’s rules first, set a deposit limit in the account on day one, and read our responsible gambling page before you play.
Scores also change. When a casino changes its withdrawal caps, bonus playthrough or licence, we rescore the affected criterion and update the card, the review and the date together. If you spot a change before we do, email [email protected].
This domain has carried casino reviews since 2010. Most of the brands covered between 2010 and 2020, such as 21Nova, Rushmore Casino and Online Vegas Casino, have closed or changed hands. We do not keep those reviews online as if they were current. Instead, our closed casinos page records what happened to each one, with sources, and old review addresses now point there.
Each review links to the guide that explains its numbers. The bonus maths guide shows how to work out what a playthrough requirement costs; the payment methods guide compares speeds, limits and fees by method; and the crypto casinos page covers coins, networks and wallet safety. For live dealer play, see live casinos, and for recently licensed brands, new casinos.
Ten casinos are reviewed in full as of October 2026. Each was checked against its own terms, payments page and licence record during that month.
Slot Pony, Slot Owl and Winsly share the top score of 4.3. Slot Pony leads on licence; Slot Owl and Winsly lead on bonus fairness and product.
No. Some links are affiliate links and may earn us a commission, but scores come only from the published five-criterion method, and every review shows its score sheet.
No. None of the reviewed casinos is for players in those countries, and several bar many more. Each review lists the excluded countries from the casino’s own terms.
Most of those casinos have closed or changed owners, so their old reviews would mislead. The closed casinos page records what happened to each brand, with sources.
Each casino on the list gets a fresh check every three months, sooner if a reader tells us something has moved, and its score and date change in the same edit.
